I always love photographing weddings at Oulton Hall. It’s one of those venues that has everything — gorgeous grounds, elegant interiors, and so many perfect spots for photos no matter what the weather is doing. This wedding was no exception, and from the moment I arrived, I knew it was going to be a lovely day.
The morning started with a relaxed bridal prep, with plenty of laughter and those little moments that really set the tone for the day. Oulton Hall’s rooms are bright and spacious, which makes them perfect for natural, candid photography. Once everyone was ready, it was time to head down for the ceremony.
The ceremony room at Oulton Hall always looks beautiful, and this wedding was no different. The couple had chosen simple, elegant décor that suited the venue perfectly. There were lots of smiles, a few happy tears, and so many lovely moments between the couple and their guests.
After the ceremony, we made the most of the grounds for some relaxed couple portraits. Oulton Hall has so many great backdrops — the sweeping driveway, the gardens, and the architecture all work beautifully for natural wedding photography. The couple were brilliant to photograph and kept everything fun and easy‑going.
The rest of the day flowed perfectly, with plenty of time for candid photos of guests enjoying themselves. Oulton Hall’s wedding breakfast room looked stunning, and the speeches brought a great mix of emotion and laughter. As the evening celebrations began, there were even more opportunities for those natural, in‑the‑moment shots that really tell the story of the day.
